”The distinction of the San Diego Comic Convention, certainly in the early days…is [that] it brought together a lot of different types of fans.”

Igor Goldkind has been hooked on reading science fiction since elementary school.  In 1974, while he was a student at Patrick Henry High School and at just 15 years old, Igor became the science fiction programming coordinator for Comic-Con.  He has worked as a marketing consultant and PR spokesman for comics publishers in the United Kingdom.

Igor’s marketing genius helped to shape the term “graphic novel” as we know it today as a way to help sell the comics.  Igor is currently the creative producer at SUBVERSIONfactory, which explores the intersection ideas about image, language, sound, movement and computation.
